What the exam covers
A pre-employment physical is a general medical exam focused on whether you can perform job duties requested by your employer. At minimum it typically includes a medical history review, vital signs check, and a focused physical exam. Depending on the employer’s instructions, additional checks requested by the employer may be added to meet their workplace requirements.
You may be asked to complete employer-provided forms or questionnaires before or during the visit. The clinician documents findings on the required paperwork so employers can see whether the health information requested has been provided. Bring any job-specific forms and be prepared to describe recent medical history and current medications honestly and accurately.
How to prepare for visit
Bring photo identification, any employer forms, a list of current medications, and details of relevant medical conditions. Wear clothing that allows simple movement and quick examination of arms, legs, back, or chest if necessary. If your employer has specified tests or certifications, bring documentation or prior records that are relevant to those requests.
We offer evening and weekend appointment options to accommodate commuters along the Metcalf/US-69 corridor and busy schedules. If you have questions about what the employer requires, check your employer’s instructions before arriving so the visit can be completed efficiently and you leave with the paperwork needed for your onboarding process.
