Get answers to common questions about Microneedling With PRP.

During treatment, fine needles create micro-channels while we apply your concentrated platelet-rich plasma. PRP releases growth factors that accelerate collagen production and healing, amplifying microneedling’s resurfacing effects to improve texture, tone, and firmness over several weeks.

Most clients experience mild discomfort, not intense pain. We apply topical numbing and adjust needle depth for comfort. Sensations are usually described as tingling or mild pressure; discomfort subsides quickly and post-treatment soreness resolves within a few days.

Typical plans are three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart for noticeable improvement. Some clients benefit from maintenance sessions every six to twelve months. Your provider will customize frequency based on skin condition, goals, and response to early treatments.

Expect redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours, similar to a sunburn. Light flaking may occur as skin heals. Most clients return to normal activities within 48 hours, avoiding heavy exercise and sun exposure during recovery.

Side effects are generally mild and temporary — redness, swelling, bruising, and minor pinpoint bleeding. Rare complications include infection or prolonged irritation. We minimize risks with sterile technique, qualified staff, and pre/post-care instructions. Disclose medical history and medications beforehand.

Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding patients, those with active skin infections, blood disorders, recent isotretinoin use, or certain autoimmune conditions. A consultation and medical review determine candidacy. We tailor treatments or suggest alternatives when Microneedling With PRP isn't appropriate.
